Summer Nettleman, our Senior Partner, practices in the areas of Family Law and Landlord-Tenant Issues.
A native of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Summer graduated cum laude from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications and Religious Studies and a Minor in Classical Studies. She then graduated from Elon University School of Law. While attending Elon Law, Summer was a clinical student and IOLTA intern with Legal Aid of NC working in the areas of Housing, Custody, and Domestic Violence. She also interned with the Guilford County Public Defender defending Juvenile Defendants in the Office of Juvenile Justice proceedings.
Summer is an active member of several local organizations that focus on the needs of children, serving as a committee chair with the Junior League of Wilmington and on the Board of Directors for the Optimist Club of the Port City, where she was also a Charter Member. She is an aluma of Theta Alpha Kappa, Lambda Pi Eta, Sigma Alpha Omega, and the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. Summer is admitted to practice in state courts in North Carolina and is a member of the New Hanover County Bar Association, The North Carolina Bar Association, The American Bar Association and North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
